Accent Reduction and Modification

It is common that the pronunciation patterns of our first language affect the pronunciation of subsequent languages that we learn.  This is an accent.  It becomes problematic if the accent affects the ability of listeners to understand information being shared.  Our SLPs can assist in accent modification by helping adults produce consonant, vowel and intonation patterns that more closely match Ottawa English speakers.
