About Our Clinic
The Speech People was created in 1999 and proudly provides comprehensive speech and language services from our Orleans clinic. In person and virtual services are both offered.
We are a team of Speech-Language Pathologists and Communicative Disorders Assistants who are dedicated to supporting children, adolescents and adults in reaching their full communication potential.
Our goal is to work with our clients to set practical and functional goals and to work together on these goals to make a real difference in the daily lives of our clients. Since breakdown in communication has an impact well beyond the individual, we also work collaboratively with family members, caregivers, teachers, doctors, dentists and other professionals to best understand and support each of our clients.

Our Legacy
Sue Butler Hinz is now enjoying retirement with her friends and family, but far from forgotten by her colleagues and the many families in the Ottawa area that she supported throughout her career. Her expertise is still sought after by colleagues within the SLP community; a testament to the lasting mark she has left. Our clinic is committed to carrying forward the legacy she built—one rooted in compassion, dedication, and professional excellence.
